| Worldwide Ambassador (R) is a life-time appointment. To be considered please fill out the application. If you are not chosen, you may reapply at another date. At least one Worldwide Ambassador (R) will be selected annually. Worldwide Ambassador (R) is here for YOU! Although we are part of the 501c3 Worldwide (tm) The Crowns for the Cure (tm), we do NOT insist upon our Ambassadors fulfilling their service only in breast or other cancer related issues. We are here to help you take your passion and make a difference in our World Community. Worldwide Ambassador (R) was first awarded in 1999. It is not a pageant competition. It is a method of facilitating community service, philanthropy, public advocacy etc. Through the years, it has developed into a fund-raising opportunity, international means of promoting voluteerism and education in medical, mental and spiritual health and well-being. Worldwide Ambassadors (R) may be men or women. You do not need a crown or a sash to be a Worldwide Ambassador (R). Unicef (R) and other organizations do not require them of their Ambassadors. Neither do we. These are offered to those who feel them an important tool to fulfill the purpose of the Worldwide Ambassador (R). We are an international philanthropic organization dedicated to serving the World Community. The role of Worldwide Ambassador (R) and all of our Ambassadors is to promote public advocacy, community service, volunteerism and education. To honor all our Ambassadors, we will hold a formal banquet and awards ceremony. At this time, we will also bestow the Spirit of Excellence and Spirit of H.O.P.E. and other Awards. Your application fee includes the banquet, Spirit of Excellence and Spirit of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People is Empowering) Awards. |

| Worldwide Ambassador (R) is a life-time appointment. Other Ambassadors are annual appointments. To be considered please fill out the application. If you are not chosen, you may reapply at another date. One Worldwide Ambassador (R) will be appointed annually. You may apply yourself or be nominated by someone. May be of any age, gender, marital status, ethnicity, size, etc. to be considered. Qualifications: 1. Mandatory: 15 appearances/ community service endeavors including web or print published photos, live events, phone campaigns, donated service hours etc. in the last 3 years. Please see Spirit of H.O.P.E. log for suggestions. If you are just starting your philanthropic journey, please tell us how you plan to meet this requirement in the next three years. 2. Mandatory: serve the community. 3. Mandatory: Must be of good moral character and be willing to sign a contract stating such. 4. Mandatory: Application submission with application fees. Fees are donated to the 501c3 and are tax deductable. 5. Mandatory: Spirit of H.O.P.E. Awards and community service log submission. 6. Mandatory: Comunity Service/ Volunteerism/ Public Advocacy resumee. You may view the portfolio examples page for ideas. We need to see who you are. This can be an easy way to help us help you to get into the public advocacy/ volunteerism field you desire most. We will help tailor this resumee so it may be used in more formal arenas such as the work place. 7. Mandatory: Narrative Bio. We need to see who you are in the total package. You have between one paragraph and one page to tell us what makes you tick, what you've done, where you want to go...you know! Anything you think that would lead us to the conclusion that you are the best candidate. 8. Optional: We know some of you are talented and will share these talents as part of your service and advocacy. Share your talent with us at the Awards banqet, and you may win a prize! Additional fee. Open to men, women, boys and girls. An award will be given out at the banquet. 9. Optional: Scrapbook. We know you have many memories. Share them with us. We would love to go on your journey. You may do this as a traditional scrap or memory book or as an achievement style portfolio. You may look at our portfolio section to get ideas. What we are looking for is who you are and how well you can present yourself. Photos/ clippings/ certificates, etc are best done when there is a bit of an explanation as to why they belong in the book and what it means to you. You do not have to make this an arduous task. This is about you enjoying the journey you've been on and joyful anticipation of the one upon which you will embark. Additional fee. An award will be given out at the banquet. 10. Optional: Use one page, any way you wish, to give us your "aha!" moment. This is when you had an epiphany and you got IT! No additonal fee. There will be a special award at the banquet. We are looking for not just insight of the moment, but your creativity. May be funny, poignant, anything you feel you'd like us to know. 11. Optional: Held a National or International Pageant title in any Pageant System. 12. Optional: Photo for Denim Days competition. This is our fund-raiser for Lee Jeans National Denim Day supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Choose a fun, sexy, serious or group shot. Anything denim in good taste goes! There is an additional fee. This option is open to men and women, boys and girls. There will be an engraved award for this optional given at the awards banquet. 13. Optional: We will provide regional, ethnic, and other titles. Examples are Miss Maine Ambassador(R). You do not need a title. This is not a pageant. This is offered for those who feel that the environment of a pageant -like title affords them more possibilities to serve the community. Open to men, women, boys and girls. Included in application fee. |
