| WORLDWIDE AMBASSADOR (tm) |
| What is a Worldwide Ambassador (tm)? Worldwide Ambassador (tm) is a life-time appointment. Initially, it was only open to former international title holders of the National America and Worldwide Pageants. It was meant as a special award for those who were dedicated to the community and the pageant even after their term had passed. Because we are so interested in perpetuating a desire to serve, we have opened the opportunity to those who have earned national or international titles in other pageants. If you are interested please CLICK HERE for an application. |

| The Worldwide Pageant (tm) Worldwide Pageant (tm) was a pageant started by Connie Bigelow of Connie Lynn Productions. In 2000, Connie was diagnosed with breast cancer. She then she gave ownership to Worldwide Ambassador (tm) Effie Horning. To honor Connie, Effie and her jewelry design company, Designs by "F", created the first ever breast cancer rememberance ribbon crowns. The first was an homage to Connie's desire to be an MAO director. A full round crown similar to Miss America was created. There have been many knock-offs of this distinctive design. These crowns and those who wear them became known as "The Crowns for the Cure." Worldwide- the crowns for the cure is a Federally registered and recognized 501c3. Their mission is to "cure the stigma, fear and disease of breast cancer." Although we do not insisit on our delegates activities being solely related to breast cancer. We encourage all persons to find their passion and facilitate ways in which to improve and serve the community. Today, the only true "crowns for the cure" can be purchased through Designs by "F." Proceeds from all sales benefit breast cancer treatment, education, and research. Men, women and children have joined the non-profit Worldwide foundation and are truly "crowns for the cure." Because we are so interested in perpetuating a desire to serve, we invite you all to join us. If you would like more information on volunteering in your community CLICK HERE. | The Ms. World (tm) Pageant The Ms. World (tm) Pageant was created by Effie Horning. The vision was to provide to the community an opportunity for a competition wherein delegates were judged upon their inner beauty and true selves. While the more traditional pageant world idealized a woman of small frame with a particular hair do and fit a particular stereo type, Ms. Horning sought to develope more personality in the competition and in her delegates. Having experienced several pageants, Effie noticed the trend toward younger women or those who were single and without children. Knowing this is a small representation of the world, Ms. Horning established a system that bears no reference on marital status, age, weight, or the more typical pageant presentation. Instead, women of all shapes, sizes, ages, ethnicities, marital status and with or without children were welcomed. The idea was to have a place for all women, not just those who had "aged out" of pageants, but any woman who wanted to be appreciated for who she is or needed to learn how to appreciate herself. Instead of the traditional evening gown, delegates don black-tie formal attire. That being anything that may be worn to a black-tie event. Palazzo pants, tea length dresses, tuxedos or traditional gowns. The one stippulating factor is it must make the delegate "feel like Cinderella." What is worn to interview can make a difference in how one feels and presents one's self in interview competition. To create an equal footing for judges and delegates alike, ALL involved in the interview process wear jeans and a t-shirt provided by the Pageant. Typically, this t-shirt is from a fund-raising event the Pageant has sponsored. In addition to being a pageant, Ms. World (tm) is an international philanthropic organization dedicated to serving the world community. Our delegates volunteer time, raise funds with the Ms. World (tm) organization an official "crown for the cure." Our 2008-2009 Ms. World (tm) will have a one of a kind designed "crown for the cure" to comemorate her reign and dedication to serving the world. We promote the true spirit of Pageantry and applaud those who serve our world community. |
